摘要:
A vehicle power supply device has a capacitor unit including capacitors storing auxiliary power; a temperature sensor; a charge circuit; a capacitor-unit current detector; a capacitor-unit voltage detector; a controller; a storage; and a determination unit. The storage stores a correction calculation formula and degradation determination formulas. The correction calculation formula is used to perform the correction calculation of the internal resistance value and the capacitance value in accordance with the temperature in order to obtain a corrected calculated value of internal resistance and a corrected calculated value of capacitance. The degradation determination formulas correspond to the numerical ranges of the corrected calculated value of capacitance and are used to calculate an internal resistance standard value from the corrected calculated value of capacitance. The determination unit determines the degradation level of the capacitor unit based on at least one of the internal resistance standard value and the corrected calculated value of capacitance. This structure determines degradation of the vehicle power supply device more accurately than ever, so that the device can be used until the end of the actual life.

There is provided a power supply control device 10 which can determine a deterioration state of a sub-battery 30 appropriately and determine permission/prohibition of running of a vehicle based on the result of deterioration determination. The power supply control device 10 has a first power supply 16, a second power supply 30 composed of a secondary battery, a DC/DC converter 14 which converts a voltage of the first power supply 16 and enables the second power supply 30 to be charged with the converted output voltage, and a controller 31 which controls the DC/DC converter 14 and determines deterioration of the second power supply 30. The controller 31 controls the DC/DC converter 14 during a charge period so that the output voltage value of the DC/DC converter 14 is greater than or equal to a predetermined voltage value, to thereby charge the second power supply 30, controls the DC/DC converter during a predetermined discharge period after the charge period so that the output voltage value of the DC/DC converter 14 is less than the predetermined voltage value, to thereby discharge the second power supply 30, and determines deterioration of the second power supply 30 according to a state of charge of the second power supply 30 after the discharge period.

An electrical storage element control system for a vehicle. The control system includes electrical storage elements electrically coupled to each other in parallel, switch devices, and a controller. Each of the electrical storage elements defines a total storage capacity and having a state of charge cooperatively defining a total stored charge, and is adapted to be in electrical communication with an electrical load and a power source. The switch devices are electrically coupled to the electrical storage elements such that each switch device is associated with a corresponding electrical storage element and is operable between connected and disconnected states. The controller is in electrical communication with the switch devices to selectively vary each of the switch devices between the connected state and the disconnected state to connect and disconnect one or more of the electrical storage elements relative to the load based on the total stored charges and relative to the power source based on the total storage capacities of the electrical storage elements.

An electronic control apparatus includes a control unit 2; a plurality of power supply units 1-1, 1-2 for supplying the control unit 2 with power; and a power supply fault detector unit 3 for detecting a fault in the plurality of power supply units 1-1, 1-2. The control unit 2 operates in a normal mode on electric power supplied from the plurality of power supply units 1-1, 1-2, when none of the plurality of power supply units 1-1, 1-2 is faulty. If at least one of the plurality of power supply units 1-1, 1-2 is faulty, the control unit 2 operates in an energy saving mode in which less power is consumed on electric power supplied from the power supply unit that remains fully operational. Thereby an electronic control apparatus is obtained that enables continued operation during a faulty condition, while preventing circuit scale, dimensions, weight, and cost from increasing.
摘要:
A power generation control device enables to conduct appropriate charge control and load limitations even if a technique (charge control technique) for restricting power generation by a generator in an accelerating state of a movable body is adopted in a movable body such as a vehicle in which a technique (load limiting technique) for imposing limitations on a power supply when a quantity of suppliable electricity decreased has been adopted. The power generation control device for controlling a generator for a movable body which stores electric power in a battery comprises a unit for restricting power generation by the generator based on a battery suppliable current which can be taken out of the battery, a quantity of electricity generated by the generator, an essential supply current consumed by an electric load to which electric power must be supplied and a load working current consumed by an electric load which does not necessarily require a power supply.

The automobile of the present invention is provided with a capacitor for backup use in case of disconnection or breakdown of a battery. When a start switch is turned off, the collected charge in the capacitor is supplied to a device in which a large current is flowing, such as discharging resistor, motor or lamp, or a device in which a small current is flowing, such as dark current consuming device, and therefore, after the start switch is turned off, power consumption of the battery can be suppressed.
