摘要： Novel compounds exhibiting in liquid crystal compositions a higher clearing point and a superior stability are provided which are trans-4-alkyloxymethyl-1-(4'-substituted biphenylyl-4)cyclohexanes expressed by the general formula (I):
wherein R, and R 2 each represent an alkyl group of 1 to 8 carbon atoms and n represents 0 or 1.
