The invention concerns a method for coating a carbon black with an adhesive layer of aluminium oxide and/or hydroxide, consisting in the following steps: a) impregnating the carbon black with a colloidal suspension formed by hydrolysis of an aluminium alkoxide in an alcoholic solvent; b) eliminating the alcoholic solvent by evaporation; c) subjecting the resulting impregnated carbon black to a heat treatment so as to transform the aluminous layer present at its surface into an adhesive layer of aluminium oxide and/or hydroxide. The invention concerns an assembly comprising a rim (12) and a closed toric tyre (1), the latter including a tyre tread (11) and a hoop, defining a sealed chamber (10). The hoop (13) constitutes a rim (12) mounting base, and forms a sleeve designed to be supported on said rim in mounting position. The hoop (13) comprises a protuberance (140) with a lateral blocking fit (14) designed to be engaged in a matching groove (120) arranged on the rim (12) to counter axially any relative movement between the tyre and the rim at least in one direction. The hoop has a certain degree of flexibility such that when pressure is removed from the chamber (10) said protuberance is displaced towards the larger radii. For instance the tyre (1) can be mounted on the rim (12), and the vacuum cancelled such that the protuberance (140) becomes engaged in the groove (120).
