摘要: The present disclosure discloses a video decoding method, including: parsing a received bitstream to obtain prediction information of a CU; obtaining a target transform mode of a residual TU; parsing the received bitstream to obtain transform coefficients of the residual TV; applying an inverse quantization to the transform coefficients of the residual TU to obtain dequantized coefficients; applying, based on the target transform mode, an inverse transform to the dequantized coefficients to obtain a residual block of the residual TU; obtaining a prediction block of the CU based on the prediction information; and obtaining a video block based on the residual block and the prediction block; and outputting a video sequence, the video sequence including a video frame that includes the video block.

摘要: Methods and apparatus are provided for intra coding a block having pixels assigned to groups. An apparatus includes a video encoder (500) for encoding a block in a picture using intra prediction by dividing pixels within the block into at least a first group and a second group and encoding the pixels in the first group prior to encoding the pixels in the second group. A prediction for at least one of the pixels within the second group is obtained by evaluating the pixels within the first group and the second group.

摘要: The coding efficiency of scalable video coding is increased by substituting missing spatial intra prediction parameter candidates in a spatial neighborhood of a current block of the enhancement layer by use of intra prediction parameters of a co-located block of the base layer signal. By this measure, the coding efficiency for coding the spatial intra prediction parameters is increased due to the improved prediction quality of the set of intra prediction parameters of the enhancement layer, or, more precisely stated, the increased likelihood, that appropriate predictors for the intra prediction parameters for an intra predicted block of the enhancement layer are available thereby increasing the likelihood that the signaling of the intra prediction parameter of the respective enhancement layer block may be performed, on average, with less bits.

摘要: The invention proposes a decoder for decoding coefficients of blocks of a video sequence from a bitstream. The decoder comprises a decoding module configured to decode one or more coefficient vectors of each block from the bitstream. The decoder comprises a check module configured to reconstruct, for at least one block, hidden information from one or more coefficients of that block, the hidden information constituting or forming part of scan order information associated with that block. The decoder comprises a scan order selector configured to select a scan order for each block from a set of scan orders, preferably from a set of pre-defined and generated scan orders, on the basis of the scan order information associated with that block. The decoder comprises a deserializer configured to inverse scan, for each block, the one or more coefficient vectors of that block according to the scan order selected for that block so as to obtain a coefficient matrix.

摘要: The present invention provides an image encoding/decoding technique that is capable of achieving the higher compression efficiency. An image encoding method comprises: an intra prediction step which performs intra prediction on a block basis to generate a predicted image; a subtraction step which calculates the difference in prediction between the predicted image generated by the intra prediction step and an original image; a frequency conversion step which performs frequency conversion processing for the difference in prediction; a quantization step which subjects the output of the frequency conversion step to quantization processing; and a variable-length encoding step which subjects the output of the quantization step to variable-length encoding processing; wherein the intra prediction encoding step predicts a target pixel to be encoded by use of pixel values of two reference pixels between which the target pixel to be encoded is located.

摘要: A pixel block is compressed by providing a respective color component prediction for each pixel in the block. A difference between color components of two neighboring pixels is calculated and compared to a threshold. If the difference is smaller than the threshold, the prediction is calculated based on a first linear combination of the color components of these two neighboring pixels. However, if the difference exceeds the threshold, a second or third linear combination of the color components of the neighboring pixels is employed in the prediction. A guiding bit associated with the selected linear combination may be used. A prediction error is calculated based on the color component of the pixel and the provided prediction. The compressed block comprises an encoded representation of the prediction error and any guiding bit.

摘要: A prediction set determining section (13) selects a prediction set from a prediction set group including a plurality of prediction sets having different combinations of prediction modes corresponding to different prediction directions. Further, a prediction mode determining section (11) selects a prediction mode from the prediction set thus selected. An entropy encoding section (4) encodes the prediction set thus selected, the prediction mode thus selected, and residual data between an input image and a predicted image formed on the basis of the prediction set and the prediction mode. This allows an image encoding device to carry out predictions from more various angles, thereby improving prediction efficiency.
