    摘要: The present invention provides a reproduction apparatus capable of automatically switching an input of a television to an output from a broadcast receiver such as an STB. A television (131), upon receiving a notification command notifying that output of video or audio is to start, switches its input to an output from an apparatus which has sent the notification command. An STB (151), upon receiving an instruction command instructing that output of video or audio should be started, sends the notification command to the television (131). A DVD recorder (101) includes: a decoder (106) that reproduces video or audio recorded in a DVD-RAM disc (111); a data output I/F (109) that outputs the reproduced video or audio to the television (131); and a command sending and receiving I/F (110) that sends the instruction command to the STB (151) when the output of the reproduced video or audio ends.

[Solution] There are included: a content reproducing apparatus that receives an operation clock signal from a content output apparatus via an operation clock transmission cable, operates on the basis of the operation clock signal, and transmits content data, which has been reproduced by a reproducing unit, to the content output apparatus via a multimedia transmission cable; and the content output apparatus that generates, on the basis of an output apparatus operation clock signal, the operation clock signal to be transmitted to the content reproducing apparatus, transmits the operation clock signal to the content reproducing apparatus via the operation clock transmission cable, receives the content data from the content reproducing apparatus via the multimedia transmission cable, and performs a signal processing of the received content data for output to an external apparatus.

The linked data are registered as metadata (120M) associated with the recorded video sequence to produce a synchronized video file (120S), wherein each image (221, 222, 223, 224, 225, 226, 227) is associated to a particular piece of timing information from the linked data. Thus, for example biometric measures derived from the recorded video sequence can be synchronized with the well-defined sequence of visual stimuli (110).
