This resin composition is particularly useful for a resin film which is used for forming optical waveguides. Also specifically disclosed are a resin film for an optical material using such a resin composition and an optical waveguide using such a resin film.

A conductive polymer is disclosed which is suitable for use in applications which require corrosion resistance including resistance to corrosion when subjected to acidic flow at temperature ranging from -40 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit and which can be molded into highly intricate and thin specimens which exhibit consistent conductivity, sufficient strength and flexibility, and appropriate surface characteristics. In particular the invention involves molding unsaturated prepolymer resin composition, which have high loadings of conductive fillers. Further to enable the necessary characteristics, the compositions include rheological modifiers such as Group II oxides and hydroxides; carbodiamides; aziridines; polyisocyanates; polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE); perfluoropolyether (PFPE), and polyethylene. Ostensibly, these modifiers act to alter the apparent molecular weight and three dimensional prepolymer network structures correcting rheological deficiencies which otherwise lead to excessive resin particulate separation during the molding process and large variances in bulk conductivity across the plate surface. The composition is disclosed for use in electrochemical cells, such as fuel cells.

Disclosed is a polyetherester thermoplastic elastomer resin composition with excellent Hex-elasticity and durability, which comprises 10 to 70% by weight of low hardness polyetherester block copolymer having shore-hardness not more than 40D, 55 to 15% by weight of high hardness polyetherester block copolymer having shore-hardness not less than 50D and 35 to 15% by weight of polybutylene terephthalate, and having flex-elasticity in the range of 2,500 to 4,600 kgf/cm2. The polyetherester thermoplastic elastomer resin composition of the present invention has excellent durability, processing workability, formability and scratch-resistance, as well as satisfactory flexibility and mechanical properties, especially, flex-elasticity. Additionally, the polyetherester thermoplastic elastomer resin composition of the present invention has advantages such as excellent deploying property and horn workability when it is employed in production of covers for air bags of automobiles.

This invention relates to unsaturated polyester resin or vinyl ester resin compositions comprising (I) a polymer containing reactive unsaturations as a resin; (ii) a 1,3-dioxo-component, and (iii) optionally a reactive diluent and/or an inhibitor and/or a stabilizer; the resin compositions being curable with a peroxide component, and wherein (a) the resin in the resin composition has an acid value ≤ 10; and (b) the resin composition contains - while being cured - a base, which is either (I) selected from the group of organic or inorganic oxides, hydroxides, alkoxides or carboxylates for each of which the cation has a redox potential of the metal of at most -1V, or of ammonium ions; or is (ii) selected from the group of nitrogen-containing organic compounds. The present invention also relates to objects and structural parts prepared from such resin composition by curing with a peroxide. Finally the invention also relates to methods of peroxide curing of unsaturated polyester or vinyl ester curing and its use in chemical anchoring, roof coatings etc.
