摘要： The cord accommodation apparatus of the present application includes a housing and a pulley mechanism. The pulley mechanism includes a plurality of movable pulleys. The movable pulleys are attached to the housing so as to be able to move freely in an up and down direction, and a middle portion of an electrical cord is wound around the movable pulleys. At least one of the plurality of movable pulleys moves upwards with respect to the housing when the electrical cord is pulled out from the accommodation apparatus, while by contrast the electrical cord is accommodated in the accommodation apparatus by this movable pulley, that has previously moved upwards, moving downwards.

摘要： The present invention is directed to a method for producing a helical spring by coiling an element wire (w) while feeding the wire (w), and performing an after-treatment including at least a warm setting process. The method comprises the steps of (1) providing a plurality of parameters for defining a desired shape of a target helical spring, (2) performing a warm setting simulation for defining a change in shape of a certain helical spring by applying thereto the warm setting process through a simulation, to determine a free height of a helical spring before the warm setting process on the basis of a free height of the target helical spring, (3) determining a shape of the helical spring before the after-treatment, on the basis of at least the free height of the helical spring before the warm setting process and the plurality of parameters, (4) coiling the element wire (w) on the basis of the shape of the helical spring before the after-treatment to produce a coiled wire, and (5) applying the after-treatment to the coiled wire, to produce the target helical spring.

摘要： The present invention is directed to a curved helical compression spring having a plurality of coils along a curved coil axis. Each coil constituting the helical compression spring is increased and decreased in diameter, and the order of the increased diameter and the decreased diameter of each coil is reversed at a predetermined position on the longitudinal axis of the helical compression spring, so as to provide the curved coil axis, such as the coil axis curved in C-shape. For example, one section of each coil having approximately a half of the circumference of each coil, which is divided by a plane including the coil axis, is increased in diameter, whereas the other one section of approximately a half of the circumference of each coil is decreased in diameter. The curved helical compression spring may be mounted on a vehicle suspension.

摘要： An exhaust passage control valve has a valve element (21) of a spiral shape mounted on a valve seat portion (20a) of a housing (20) through which exhaust gases from an engine pass. The valve element (21) is urged by a valve spring (22) in a direction of closing the valve. A spring constant of the valve spring (22) is kept low without enlarging the valve spring, and there can be obtained opening and closing characteristics in that the valve opens at a stretch when an exhaust-gas pressure has reached a predetermined value. As the valve spring (22), a helical torsion spring having a coiled cylindrical body portion (22a) is used. Arm portions (22b, 22b) on both ends of a coiled cylindrical body portion (22a) are engaged with a pair of spring receiving members (23, 23). The spring receiving members (23, 23) are disposed in the housing (20) on circumferentially opposite sides of the valve seat portions (20a). The arm portion (22b, 22b) are engaged with the spring receiving members (23, 23) so as to be slidable in a longitudinal direction of the arm portions (22b, 22b). The valve element (21) is thus urged, in a direction of closing the valve, through the coiled cylindrical body portion (22a).
