摘要: A respiratory gas delivery system (10) is disclosed. The respiratory gas delivery system (10) comprises a wearer interface (16) through which respiratory gas is supplied to a wearer's airway and a gas conditioning device (24) for conditioning the respiratory gas upstream of the interface (16) in a direction of gas flow to the wearer, the gas conditioning device (24) comprising a controller (78), wherein the interface (16) comprises a sensor for measuring an operating variable in use such that the controller (78) controls the operation of the conditioning device (24) based on said sensor measurement.

摘要: A respiratory mask assembly has an elastomeric inner 10 (e.g. of silicone) with a fluid inlet (18, figure 4), and a more rigid mask housing or shell 56 with an aperture (62, figure 10). The fluid inlet extends from the aperture in the mask housing at a proximal end to a fluid connector 53 for connection to a gas supply at a distal end. The elastomeric material and a rotatable coupling (figure 5) enable free movement of the fluid connector relative to the mask housing; the fluid inlet is resiliently extendible and resilient to lateral or radial compression; it may be corrugated and is preferably integrally formed with the moulded sealing cushion 14 which contacts the wearers face. Raised vent regions 26 on the elastomeric inner engage with apertures (66, figure 10) in the mask housing. Arms 68, 70 and 72 on the shell retain securing straps. The mask may be connected to a ventilator and used for the treatment of sleep apnoea or respiratory failure.

摘要: There is provided an oral hygiene swab (10) for a patient. The swab has a stem (12) formed of a first relatively rigid material and a head portion (14) formed of a second relatively softer material overmoulded onto said stem. The second material of the head portion is shaped to provide outwardly protruding cleaning formations (32, 36) for contact with the patient's mouth. The swab may be a suction swab and the stem may have a hollow interior.

摘要: There is provided a respiratory mask (10;100;200) for delivering an inhalation gas to the airways of a wearer, the respiratory mask comprising a body (10) of generally concave shape and having a peripheral edge, the body being adapted to provide a cavity (11,12) in use about the mouth and nose of a wearer such that the inhalation gas can be inhaled by the wearer from the cavity. The body has an inlet port (13) that is engageable with a supply of inhalation gas and in communication with the cavity. The respiratory mask includes a resilient seal formation (20) depending from at least a portion of the peripheral edge. The resilient seal formation comprises both an inwardly (22) and outwardly (28) depending lip portion relative to the peripheral edge of the body. The inwardly depending lip portion (22) is arranged in use to pass closely beneath the mandible of a wearer (38) having a relatively smaller facial dimension (Y) and the outwardly depending lip portion (28) is arranged to pass closely beneath the mandible of a wearer (42) having a relatively larger facial dimension (Y'). The mask may accommodate a range of facial dimensions whilst still retaining an effective seal.
