Disclosed herein are hexadecaphlorethol (HdP), which is a novel compound isolated from Ishige okamurae, and the use thereof in anti-diabetic treatment and exercise performance improvement. The novel compound HdP has the activity of inhibiting α-glucosidase, inducing glucose uptake into differentiated myoblast C2C12 cells, reducing blood glucose levels in zebrafish which have reduced insulin secretion through treatment with alloxan, increasing an intracellular level of calcium ions necessary for muscle contraction and exercise performance in zebrafish, and inducing uptake of glucose, an energy source necessary for muscle contraction, into cells.

The present invention provides a neutron-shielding coded aperture having a boron polyethylene (PE) mask, which is attached to the front end of a tungsten mask pattern of a coded aperture and has the same pattern. In order to alleviate a neutron-shielding problem, a material, in which high-density polyethylene (HDPE) having excellent neutron-shielding ability is mixed with boron, is attached to the front end of a conventional coded aperture so as to block both gamma rays and neutrons.

The present invention relates to an Ecklonia cava extract, a preparation method thereof and a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating vascular diseases comprising the same as an active ingredient. The Ecklonia cava extract of the present invention was confirmed to have a medicinal effect on those factors involved in causing vascular diseases by the cell level experiments and the disease induced animal model experiments. Therefore, the Ecklonia cava extract of the present invention can be effectively used as an active ingredient of a pharmaceutical composition and a health functional food composition for the prevention, improvement or treatment of vascular diseases.

Provided is a paint composition and, more specifically, to a non-toxic paint composition containing graphene oxide (GO) nanosheets, zinc oxide (ZnO) nanoparticles, and molybdenum oxide (MoO 3 ) nanoplates, and to a method for preparing the same. Specifically, the paint composition containing GO nanosheets according to the present invention is economical and rapidly dried due to a high solid content as compared with the conventional paints; is environment-friendly, and exhibits excellent corrosion resistance in an acidic and high-salt solution due to the absence of toxic materials such as a chromate or biocide; and has excellent effects of inhibiting the growth of bacteria strains ( Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus , and Pseudomonas aeruginosa ) and suppressing the adhesion of marine organisms, and thus can be effectively used as a substitute for paints used in general steel structures and ships or marine steel structures.

The present invention relates to a composition for improving bone health, including a functional fermented material using oysters, and the composition includes a fermented extract extracted from a fermented material of oysters and seaweed, which is obtained by fermenting oysters and seaweed, and the fermented extract may promote bone formation by suppressing the activity of osteoclasts and promoting the activity of osteoblasts. According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a composition for improving bone health, containing large amounts of taurine and vitamins and containing natural gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) and seaweed oligosaccharides from seaweeds using oysters. Further, it is possible to provide a composition for improving bone health, including a functional fermented material using oysters which is excellent in effects of preventing and suppressing the occurrence of osteoporosis.
