The heat transfer means is supplied with steam directly from the rectifying section so that heat is transmitted from the heat transfer means to the stripping section, and liquid that has been condensed as a result of heat transfer is returned to the rectifying section. Having such a configuration, heat of the rectifying section is efficiently used in the stripping section. Further, at least one open/close section is provided in the internal heat exchange-type distillation column or the rectifying section and the stripping section is separably integrated into one piece, each contents in the stripping section and the rectifying section can be replaced or cleaned easily through the open/close section.

Since the apparatus with this configuration has a large vaporization area and a large heat transfer area, the induction period for crystal generation can be shortened, and crystals with sharp size distribution and large size can be obtained. Furthermore, it is possible to obtain a specified crystal form, that is, it is possible to control crystal polymorphism.
