摘要: A method, processor and system for controlling packet flow in a network provides for selecting a transmission scheme based on a payload rate for payloads arriving at a buffer. The transmission scheme includes data blocks comprising packets each having an associated payload, the data blocks have a variable packet transmission rate and a variable payload per packet ratio. The product of the variable packet transmission rate and the variable payload per packet ratio remains constant. The data blocks are sent to a network switch that deterministically routes the data blocks.

摘要: The invention relates to histology analyses, and in particular, to the assessment of pathological tissues to aid in the diagnosis of disease characterised by specific pathologies, for example cancer. The invention provides methods and apparatuses for analysing tissue samples, as well as computer-readable media programmed with software for carrying out these diagnostic methods.

摘要: A method comprises bonding a silicon wafer (13) or silicon-on-insulator wafer having a monocrystalline silicon surface region (15) and a wafer-like carrier (12) comprising silicon carbide so as to form a composite wafer (18) having a surface with the monocrystalline silicon surface region for silicon carbide heterogrowth, such as heteroepitaxy. The composite wafer can help avoid wafer bow.
