A method of manufacturing a hot gas wall for a gas turbine is described. The method is carried out on a hot gas wall having a wall part with a front side and a back side, the wall part being for exposure to a hot fluid on the front side, and the hot gas wall also comprising a turbulator structure. The method comprises the step of attaching a turbulator structure to the wall part by brazing or resistance welding. In an embodiment, attaching a turbulator structure by brazing comprises the steps of placing a braze foil on the back side of the wall part, placing a turbulator structure on the braze foil, and brazing to attach the turbulator structure to the wall part. In another embodiment, attaching the turbulator structure by resistance welding comprises the steps of placing a turbulator structure part on the back side of the wall part, passing a current through the turbulator structure part and the wall part to resistance weld the turbulator structure part to the wall part. A hot gas wall manufactured according to the method above, a method of cooling the hot gas wall and apparatus for manufacturing a hot gas wall are also described.

The present invention generally relates to a gas turbine and more in particular it is related to a damper assembly for a combustion chamber of a gas turbine. According to preferred embodiments, the present solution provides a damper assembly comprising protrusions on a wall of the neck: these protrusions result in a side wall reactance to the acoustic field that has the effect of decreasing the effective speed of sound in the neck. The decrease of the effective speed of sound in the neck is equivalent to an increase of the effective neck length.
