The invention relates to a method to embed a label essentially consisting of a paper substrate carrying electronic inks and/or a printed electronic circuit and/or device (thereby achieving a paper-based circuit) directly into a moulded plastic piece (also designated as plastic object), the embedding of the paper-based circuit and the production of the plastic piece being performed in a single operation. The invention thus also relates to a method to manufacture plastic objects embedding such label. The invention also concerns a plastic object encompassing a label essentially consisting of a paper substrate carrying electronic inks and/or a printed electronic circuit and/or device (thereby achieving a paper-based circuit) embedded in the moulded plastic and in particular an object obtained by the method disclosed to prepare a moulded plastic piece.

The invention provides a method for the manufacture of a sheet product comprising a substrate having a coating of an adhesion promoter, which comprises applying to said substrate a solution or suspension of an adhesion promoter comprising a polymer bearing carboxylic acid, salt, amide and/or ester groups, said solution or suspension also comprising an indicator material which is colourless under the conditions of application of said solution or suspension to said substrate but which generates visible colouration upon the application of suitable chemical means. The method may be used as part of a quality control method for monitoring the application of a coating of an adhesion promoter to a substrate. The resulting sheets are novel.

The invention concerns a coated white paper having a fluorescence intensity higher than 55 as measured, in accordance with international standard ISO 11475: 2004, by the difference between the value of the CIE whiteness under the D65 illuminant and the value of this same CIE whiteness after the interposition of a filter that eliminates wavelengths shorter than 420 nm, and being offset-printable with no mottling defects, said coated paper comprising at least one base sheet and a printable white surface layer having a pigment composition that includes: at least some white coating pigments and at least one coating binder; at least one fluorescent whitening agent in a total quantity greater than or equal to 1% by dry weight relative to the dry weight of said pigments; at least one support substance for said whitening agent in a total quantity by dry weight greater than 2% relative to the dry weight of said pigments. The invention also concerns a method for producing this coated white paper by curtain coating said pigment composition.
