The bladder (218) has a molded (extruded or machined) shape optimized to, when inflated, provide a contact surface (500) elevated above the remainder of the bladder (218). When the bladder (218) is not inflated, the contact surface (500) or central portion remains elevated above the reminder. In addition, the device has improved contact characteristics, providing significant improvement in the consistency of contact surface with less sensitivity to pressure fluctuations between the cylinder (100) and the bladder (218) over prior art.

    摘要： A cleaning system for a printing press using pre-soaked, reduced volume of air in cleaning fabric. The system includes a cleaning fabric treated to reduce the amount of air volume the cleaning fabric contains. The cleaning fabric is saturated to functional equilibrium with a low volatility organic compound solvent. The cleaning fabric is wrapped around an elongated core (11) to form a fabric roll (13). The saturated, wrapped fabric roll may be used to clean a cylinder of a printing press.
    The saturated, wrapped fabric roll may be inserted in a sealable sleeve (15), the sealable sleeve being in contact with the fabric roll and then sealed, thus permitting transporting and storage of the system until use without detrimentally affecting the cleaning ability of the fabric.
    A method for making the system is also disclosed.

Additionally, water or another additive may be mixed in for improved cleaning properties. The method of making the same is also discussed.

The apparatus comprises further a pliable membrane (500) arranged on the first cylinder (100) and sealingly attached to the outer surface of the first cylinder (100) at least at the outer peripheries of the plurality of grooves (400;520), wherein a plurality of sealed cavities (610) for receiving a quantity of fluid are formed by the plurality of grooves (400;520) and by portions of the pliable membrane (500) which sealingly enclose the plurality of grooves (400;520) for cushioning sheets of printed material (120;121) as they are passed between the first and second cylinders (100;105). A method of forming such an apparatus (130) is also disclosed.
