    摘要: Disclosed herein is a sensing device for use in providing positive feedback of the position of a vehicle body securing device used to selectively secure a vehicle body to a vehicle body support moveable along a path of travel. A vehicle body securing device is selectively moveable between a locked position and an unlocked position. An indicator is connected to the securing device and is reciprocally movable to and from a target area when the securing device is in one of the locked position and the unlocked position. A sensor has a field of view selectively alignable with the target area. The sensor is operable to detect when the indicator is positioned at the target area to provide a positive indication of the position of the securing device.

    摘要: A pre-tensioned breakaway fastener assembly and method for attaching a tooling member to an assembly device. The assembly includes upper (304) and lower (306) annular plate each having a first bore therethrough. A breakaway fastener (302) with a narrowed section (302c) is provided through the first bore in the upper (304) and lower (306) annular plate. A compressible spring member (308), which pretensions the breakaway fastener (302) to fracture on application of a predetermined load, is placed between the upper (304) and lower (306) annular plate. At least one compressive fastener (310), radially spaced from the breakaway fastener (302), is axially positioned through a second bore in one of the upper (304) or lower (306) plate and is removably engagable with the other of the plates to axially compress the spring member (308).
