摘要： A fuel equalization line (8) couples in fluid communication vehicle tanks (12, 14) and has two conduits (25, 27) joined together by a removable coupling device (40), which provides for fluid communication between the conduits (25, 27) when engaged to equalize fuel levels within the tanks (12, 14), and enables the fuel equalization line (8) to be separated into two parts (25, 27) to free the tanks (12, 14) from the vehicle frame during a tank removal operation. A pair of shutoff valves (32, 34) enables the fuel to be retained in the tanks (12, 14) when they are removed from the frame.
