The annular element can be attached to the underside of the windshield assembly in two axial orientations, always by means of a click-fit connection. In a first mounting orientation, the annular element makes the flue-gas discharge system suitable for improved-efficiency specifications, in that moisture is discharged from the interior of the flue-gas discharge system to the outside. In the second axial mounting orientation, the annular element makes the flue-gas discharge system suitable for high-efficiency specifications, in that moisture is discharged from the outside to the interior. The protective cap can likewise be attached in two axial orientations to the top of the windshield assembly, likewise by means of a click-fit connection. In a first mounting orientation, the protective cap is concave on its underside, so that the protective cap allows the flue-gas discharge system to meet improved-efficiency specifications, while in the second mounting orientation the protective cap is convex on its underside and allows the flue-gas discharge system to meet high-efficiency specifications.

If the inner pipe is arranged in a second receiving space (22), the inner pipe is inclined with respect to the outer pipe. In this way, it is possible to bring about three possible orientations of the inner pipe with respect to the outer pipe by means of a single cage (10).
