    摘要: A method and device for applying a pattern (70) onto a support means (2) of a sign, utilising a foil (17) comprising a pattern layer (18) and a carrier layer (73) with an adhesive layer (74) uniting them, said pattern being cut out in the pattern layer of the foil by means of a controlled cutting device, after which the foil is placed on a laminating table (3) in an application device (1). According to the invention a traverse (21) is passed in controlled manner over the foil placed on the laminating table, and a self-adhesive transfer film (19), supplied from a roll (20) over and around a press roll (34) rotatably journalled, at a press device (32) is applied under pressure on the foil. The carrier layer and spill of the pattern layer are removed and the pattern parts thus remaining are brought into contact with the support means, with the adhesive layer of the pattern parts now exposed. The press roll is then again passed over the transfer film, pattern parts and support means so that the pattern parts are transferred permanently to said support means, after which the transfer film is removed from the support means.

According to the invention the flange (44) and assembly pocket (42) extend in a direction forming an angle of from 0° to 180° with the plane of the fabric and the assembly pocket has an inner stop (71) for the bar, the stop being spaced from the opening (43), wherein the depth of the assembly pocket is less than the width of the bar (47) so that an outer edge (50) of the bar is located at a distance from the opening. The fabric extends around the outer edge (50) of the bar and over a free edge (51) of the flange in order in stretched state to press the bar with the edge portion (14; 48) of the fabric wrapped around it against the stop (71).
