A tool (4) for rotation ring type barking machines (1) comprises a swinging arm (9) which is connected at one end via a screw connection with a holder (11) on a shaft (10) rotatably mounted in the rotor (3) of the machine. The holder has two elongated grooves (16,16') spaced apart by an intermediate ridge (17) and adapted to accommodate two spaced-apart beads (19,19') formed on the swinging arm. The two outer lateral faces (20,20') defining the grooves are sloping in cross-section and converge toward one another at an angle slightly less than a corresponding angle of convergence between the outer lateral faces (21,21') defining said beads. Also the inner lateral faces (22,22') of said beads and said ridge are sloping, and upon tightening of the screw connection at issue the beads are urged into the two grooves, the difference between said angles of convergence being gradually reduced toward zero until the inner bead faces come into contact with the lateral faces of the ridge, at which point the screw has been tightened with sufficient tensioning force.

The knob includes an electrical switch (14, 12). The knob (1) is movable radially relative to the longitudinal axis (3) of the lever part and has a cavity (4) into which the lever part (2) protrudes with one of its ends (10). The cavity (4) has a peripheral surface (11) which defines a space to the surface (12) of said end of the lever part. In the space there is located an elastically, ring-shaped centering element (13) which at its outer periphery abuts against said peripheral surface of the space and at its inner periphery abuts against the surface (12) of the lever part and a ring-shaped, electrical contact element (14) being part of the switch which is immovably connected to the knob and adapted to follow this in its radial movements. The centering element (13) strives at centering the contact element relative to the end part (10) of the lever part. In a neutral position for the knob the movable contact element defines a space to the end part of the lever part (the end part is included as a second contact element in the switch). By a manual sidewards movement of the knob relative to the lever part the ring-shaped contact element will be moved into an eccentric position and into contact with the second contact element.

Le creux (4) présente une surface périphérique (11) définissant un espace vers la surface (12) de ladite extrémité de la partie du levier. Dans ledit espace est situé un élément de centrage annulaire élastique (13) butant, à sa périphérie externe, contre ladite surface périphérique de l'espace. A sa périphérie interne, ledit élément bute contre la surface (12) de la partie du levier et contre un élément de contact électrique annulaire (14). L'élément de contact fait partie de l'interrupteur connecté de façon fixe au bouton et apte à suivre celui-ci lors de ses mouvements radiaux. L'élément de centrage (13) a pour but de centrer l'élément de contact à la partie terminale (10) de la partie du levier. Lorsque le bouton est en position neutre, l'élément de contact mobile définit un espace vers la partie terminale de la partie du levier (la partie terminale étant inclue dans l'interrupteur en tant que deuxième élément de contact).
