摘要: The invention provides a coating composition containing a modified polysaccharide, especially an α-glucan, containing from 0.1 to 0.9 anionic groups per monosaccharide unit and from 0.01 to 1.0 C1-C6 alkyl or alkanoyl groups per monosaccharide unit. The modified polysaccharide has a relatively high molecular weight of between 20 kDa and 3000 kDa.

摘要: The invention provides a fibre-coated marine material having antifouling properties, without necessarily containing bioactive agents. At least a part of said marine material is covered by piles of fibres having a thickness of at least 50 µm and a fibre length of at least 3 mm. The thickness-to-length ratio of said fibres is at least 0.010, and said piles of fibres have a density lower than 40 fibres/mm2. The fibre coating can be directly applied onto the marine material, such as ropes and construction parts, or can be present on sheets which can be applied on the marine equipment.

摘要: The invention pertains to a construction material having at least part of its surface coated with fibres, wherein said fibres have an average thickness of less than 50 dtex, an average fibre length of less than 3 mm, and wherein a predominant part of said fibres makes an acute angle of at least 45° with the tangent of the local surface of said construction material. Related therewith, in another aspect the invention pertains to the use of such a fibrous coating layer onto construction materials, for reducing traffic noise.
