摘要:
An injection molding apparatus and hot runner system are disclosed. The injection molding apparatus includes a plurality of mold plates in which the hot runner system is received. A manifold receives molding material and has a manifold channel that extends between an inlet and an outlet. A nozzle delivers moldable material to a mold cavity. The nozzle has a nozzle channel in fluid communication between the manifold channel and the mold cavity. A valve pin seal is located at the upstream end of the nozzle, and a valve pin that is connected to an actuator extends through the manifold and nozzle is slidably received in the valve pin seal. The hot runner system further includes a thermal bridge that is in conductive thermal communication with the valve pin seal and a cooled one of the plurality of mold plates.

Methods and systems for co-injection molding multilayer articles having one or more molded apertures disposed between a gate region and a peripheral region of the article are disclosed. The articles include an interior layer disposed between an inner layer and an outer layer. An article has interior layer coverage over at least 98% of a perimeter of a cross-section of the article downstream of the one or more molded apertures. A method includes modifying fluid flowing past an aperture-forming region of a mold cavity to compensate for the drag of the aperture-forming region on the velocity of the fluid flowing proximal to the aperture-forming region.
摘要:
A mold for molding an injection molded article comprises a mold cavity with a non-symmetrical portion. At least one flow leader in the non-symmetrical portion of the cavity produces a symmetrical flow boundary in a multilayer flow downstream of the non-symmetrical portion of the mold cavity. The at least one flow leader may be a variable thickness flow leader or may alternatively be a plurality of flow leaders having a flow path length that differs from the flow path length of an adjacent flow leader by no more than about 15%. The multilayer flow comprising an inner layer, an outer layer, and an interior layer. Co-injection molding apparatus and methods that may use the foregoing mold are disclosed. Similarly, co-injection molded articles and containers that may result from the foregoing mold, apparatus, and methods are disclosed.
摘要:
The invention relates to a method and an injection-moulding nozzle for producing injection-moulded parts from plastic with an injection mould, wherein the plastic melt in the form of at least one ribbon-like strand of melt is injected through a nozzle slit (2) into a cavity (15) of the injection mould before the injection-moulded part is demoulded once the plastic melt has solidified. In order to provide advantageous injection-moulding and demoulding conditions, it is proposed that the plastic melt is exposed to heat in the region of the sprue during solidifying in the cavity (15) and that the sprue is torn off during demoulding of the injection-moulded part along the nozzle slit (2) in the region of the sprue as a result of the temperature gradient between the solidified injection-moulded part and the plastic melt.
