Said measures increase the cutting performance of the milling head. The reduced cutting edge length can be formed on a long blanking die instead of using a shorter blanking die, in such a way that the cutting edge is interrupted by cavities or other e.g. flat triangular recesses on the surface of the blanking die. The staggered arrangement is then comparatively small.

Preferably, the cutting disc (7) is provided with a recess (10, 11) for receiving at least one retaining and/or fastening means (8, 9, 27, 28). In one embodiment of the invention, at least one main face (13, 14) of the cutting disc (7), on which the cutting edge (4) is provided, has a planar surface, apart from the optionally provided recesses (10, 11), for easy grindability.
