Said measures increase the cutting performance of the milling head. The reduced cutting edge length can be formed on a long blanking die instead of using a shorter blanking die, in such a way that the cutting edge is interrupted by cavities or other e.g. flat triangular recesses on the surface of the blanking die. The staggered arrangement is then comparatively small.

The invention also relates to a production method for a claimed lathe (10), in which method the blank of the lathe (10) is produced by means of a sintering method in which the coolant channel (22) of the lathe (10) is formed integrally in the sintering method at the same time.
