A voltage sag correction device includes an input terminal adapted to receive a first operating signal having a line-to-neutral voltage. The first operating signal is provided to a load through an output terminal. A regulator module includes a rectifying device adapted to rectify a line-to-line input signal, a storage unit adapted to store energy corresponding to the rectified line-to-line input signal, and an inverter switching device adapted to use the stored energy to generate a correction signal during at least a portion of a voltage sag. An injection transformer in electrical communication with the regulator module is adapted to reduce a voltage of the correction signal. A bypass switch is in a closed position during a normal operating condition such that the injection transformer is bypassed. The bypass switch is in an open position during at least a portion of the voltage sag such that the injection transformer is energized.

The client device is configured to generate a service request in accordance with the industrial data exchange protocol, compress the service request, encapsulate the compressed service request in a request packet, and send the request packet to the serving device. The serving device is configured to receive the request packet, decompress the compressed service request, process the service request, gather a service response payload based on the service request, compress the service response payload, encapsulate the compressed service response payload into a response packet, and send the response packet to the client device.

A suite of configurable supply chain infrastructure modules provides the 'collective manufacturing management infrastructure' necessary to support a high velocity e-business initiative. At the core of the collaboration scheme is the Business Process Modeling Module. The Business Modeling Module consists of two components: Business Process Event Coordinator, and Business Process Modeler. To further support the collaborative scheme, a suite of highly configurable application templates and pre-configured industry applications provide an interface or wrapper around the business rules. The application templates are designed to be used as stand-alone components, or can be assembled/configured into a cohesive solution to provide a basic foundation layer for a Collaborative Manufacturing Execution System (CMES, 120). To address the connectivity of the CMES layer to the business layer and the shop floor automation layer, an Extensible Markup Language (XML) Business Connector and Optical Photo Conductor (OPC) Shop Floor Connector fulfill the interface needs required to support a collaborative infrastructure.

A linear drive system provides a combination of distributed control to increase the number of movers which may be supported in the system and centralized control to reduce the separation distance between movers by grouping movers together and placing a reference mover of the group under central control with remaining movers of the group under distributed control. In addition, in precise working locations, or "synchronization zones," each of the movers can be temporarily placed under central control to further reduce the separation distance and allow improved coordination with industrial processes or machines in the system.
