The invention relates to a method for producing an injection-molded product, having the following steps: (a) processing sunflower hulls into sunflower hull fibers at a maximum temperature T PFmax of less than 200 °C, (b) producing an injection-moldable composite material by mixing the sunflower hull fibers produced in step (a) with a plastic material at a maximum temperature T PCmax of less than 200 °C, (c) automatically injection-molding the produced injection-moldable composite material into an injection-molding tool such that a molded composite material is produced, wherein the composite material introduced into the injection-molding tool has a temperature T IM of more than 200°C in at least one section of the injection-molding tool, and (d) removing the molded composite material such that the injection-molded product is produced. The invention additionally relates to a corresponding injection-molded product and to the use of especially prepared sunflower hull fibers as an additive.

The invention relates to a biomaterial and/or a biocomposite based on sunflower seed shells/husks. According to the invention, it is proposed that sunflower seed shells/husks are used instead of wood, bamboo or other wood-like fibre products as the original material for the biocomposite products and are used for the production of such products in order to improve the previous biomaterials, and in particular also to design said materials for improved cost efficiency and to improve their material properties.

The invention relates to a biomaterial product based on sunflower seed shells and/or sunflower seed hulls. According to the invention, it is proposed that, instead of wood, bamboo or other wood-like fiber products, sunflower seed shells and/or sunflower seed hulls are used as starting material for the biomaterial products and for producing such products in order to thereby improve previous biomaterials, in particular also to make them more cost-effective and to improve their material properties.
