A second decorative cover member (72) may be substituted for the first decorative cover member (38) when it is not desired to incorporate the warning light.

    摘要： A center high mounted stop lamp ( 12 ) including a plurality of LEDs ( 34 ) mounted on a printed circuit board ( 30 ). TIR lenses ( 40 ) are employed to focus the light from the LEDs ( 34 ) to give an even lighting appearance. The TIR lenses ( 40 ) include a prism ( 44 ) for directing the light in a desired direction. The circuit board ( 30 ) and lenses ( 40 ) are mounted in a housing ( 18 ) so that each LED ( 34 ) includes a separate lens ( 40 ) configured relative thereto to provide the desired collection and reflectance of the light. The housing ( 18 ) includes a plurality of posts ( 70 ) that extend through openings ( 48, 50 ) in the circuit board ( 30 ) and the lenses ( 40 ) to align the LEDs ( 34 ) to the lenses ( 40 ) relative to the housing ( 18 ).

    摘要： The present application includes a vehicle mirror (10) which includes an approach light in the attachment assembly. The approach light is a single light source positionable in relation to predetermined inputs for directing light to various areas, depending on the inputs. Additionally, an intercom system is provided for communication between the interior of the vehicle and exterior of the vehicle, by way of the vehicle mirror (10). Also, a remote sensor is utilized to set predetermined memory positions of interior vehicle components such as seats, steering columns and brake pedals. This allows customization of the interior components upon an individual's approach to the vehicle.

    摘要： A folding assembly (10) for a vehicle side mirror that employs specialized ramped détentes (58). The folding assembly (10) includes a pivot tube (30) and a pivot spring (32) rotatably coupled to a case frame (16) and rigidly coupled to a base frame (24). The base frame (24) includes a series of ramped détentes (58) that are seated within corresponding recesses (64) in the case frame (16). The inside angle (β1) of the ramps of the détentes is steeper than the outside angle (β2) of the ramps of the détentes according to a predetermined formula so that when the case frame (16) is rotated relative to the base frame (24), and the détentes move out of their recesses, the force of the rotation is distributed along the entire length of the ramp to increase the durability performance of the mirror and thus its longevity.
