摘要: A sensor system that measures at least one parameter of water includes an electronics subsystem and includes a sensor housing electrically and mechanically coupled to the electronics subsystem. The sensor housing encloses a chamber that receives water via at least one inlet and that releases water via at least one outlet. At least one sensor has at least one electrode exposed to water in the chamber. A flow generator causes water to flow through the chamber. A plurality of objects within the chamber move in response to the water flow and abrasively clean the at least one electrode. Preferably, the sensor system includes a chlorine sensor having at least two electrodes. The electronics subsystem applies a first differential voltage between the two electrodes during a measurement interval and then applies a second differential voltage between the two electrodes during an interval following the measurement interval.

摘要: A water purifier comprising an electrolytic cell (30) housed in an enclosure (34) and an attaching apparatus (16). The enclosure (34) attaches over an outlet fitting of a water circulation line in a swimming pool by the attaching apparatus. The attaching apparatus (16) and the enclosure (34) define apertures and outlet openings (38,39), respectively, having increasing areas in the direction of the water flow. This configuration increases flow rates through the apertures and outlet openings (38,39); the increased flow rates break off scale formations extending into the center of the apertures and outlet openings (38,39) and thereby prevent scale from clogging the purifier.

Des câbles (30), glissés dans les conduites existantes de la piscine, relient à une alimentation électrique (58) les électrodes opposées. Lesdits câbles sortent des conduites de la piscine à un endroit approprié où la sortie est pourvue d'un raccord Oclan (36) pour former une connexion étanche. L'alimentation électrique change le courant électrique de courant alternatif en courant continu et une minuterie (60) inverse la polarité vers la cellule à intervalles réguliers pour éliminer les dépôts de tartre. Le courant électrique continu, qui alimente les électrodes immergées dans l'eau de la piscine contenant du sel gemme dilué, provoque un effet électrolytique qui finit par produire de l'oxygène naissant et de l'hypochlorite de sodium. Dans un second mode de réalisation, les électrodes sont faites en un alliage cuivre-argent et créent ainsi des ions de cuivre et des ions d'argent pour purifier l'eau de la piscine.

摘要: A submerged pool purifier which has a cell including an immersed enclosure (20) to which a number of electrodes (28) are disposed in parallel array along with a masking grid (29) on each electrode. Wires (30) are routed inside existing pool piping connected to opposed electrodes on one end and a power supply (58) to the other. The wires immerge from the pool piping at a convenient location and the egress is interfaced with a compression fitting (36) making the connection watertight. The power supply changes AC electrical power to DC and a polarity reversing timer (60) reverses the polarity at regular intervals to the cell eliminating scale deposits. The DC current to the electrodes that are submerged in pool water containing dilute halite salt causes an electrolytic action ultimately producing nascent oxygen and sodium hypochlorite. In a second embodiment, the electrodes utilize a copper-silver alloy creating copper and silver ions for pool purification.
