    摘要: A conveyor system for multiplying one or more input streams of product into two or more output streams of product comprises an input conveyor (4) for conveying the one or more input streams of product, a transfer conveyor (5) which is movable bodily in a direction transverse to its conveying direction and which is arranged to receive products from the input conveyor (4), and a multi-lane output conveyor (6) which carries multiple side-by-side streams of product and is arranged to receive products from the transfer conveyor (5). The conveyor system also includes means (10) to control the forwards movement of the products in the one or more input streams of product, and means (10) to control the forwards movement of the products in each stream on the output conveyor (6) to enable the products to be aligned with one another across the output conveyor. Preferably the means (10) to control the forwards movement of the products collects successive products into groups so that the products are transferred from the input conveyor (4) to the transfer conveyor (5) in groups.

    摘要: A machine for applying adhesive tape ties to filled bags comprises an adhesive tape path leading from an adhesive tape supply reel 1, manually movable accommodation means 6 which are located on one side of the adhesive tape path, which face the adhesive side of the adhesive tape 10, which accommodate the gathered together neck 40 of a bag, and which control its movement through the machine, an adhesive tape support 28 which is located on the other side of the adhesive tape path and which converges with and joins the adhesive tape path at a contact region 31 with substantially only line contact between them, a paper tape path leading from a paper tape supply reel 4 into contact with the adhesive tape path immediately downstream of the contact region 31 from the opposite side of the adhesive tape path, and a cutter 7 arranged to sever the adhesive 10 and paper 32 tapes to complete the tie. The machine is arranged so that in use, an operator urges the gathered together neck 40 of a filled bag against the adhesive side of the adhesive tape 10 and into the accommodation means 14, with continued manual movement of the gathered together neck 40 of the filled bag moving the accommodation means 6 and forming an adhesive tape tie around the neck of the filled bag. During this as further adhesive tape is drawn from the supply reel 1 and past the support 28 line contact only Is established in the contact zone 31 between the adhesive side of the tape 10 and the support 28 to allow the bag and the accommodation means 6 to continue to move freely until the tapes 10 and 32 are severed.

    摘要: slicing machine for slicing food products, particularly meat and other meat products 7 comprises a rotating blade 1 which either has a spiral cutting edge or a circular cutting edge and is mounted for planetary motion, and means 8,9,11,12 to feed the product towards the blade 1 so that upon each rotation or gyration of the blade a slice is cut from the face of the product 7. The slicing machine also includes first means 34, 35 for monitoring the position of the blade 1 and outputting a signal when the blade is in a predetermined position, second means 19 for establishing when the blade 1 is cutting the slice to form the last slice in a group of slices and outputting a signal indicating this condition, a manually operated interrupt switch 27, and interrupt means 18 to interrupt the feed of the product to be sliced towards the blade 1 of the slicer. The interrupt means 18 is enabled by the operation of the first 34, 35 and second 19 means and the interrupt switch 27 simultaneously so that, after manual actuation of the interrupt switch 27, feed of material is disabled only at a time when a complete shingled group of slices has been formed.

Means (15) are provided to determine from the output of the detector (8) and the monitor (9) when a first location on the log (20), a predetermined distance in front of the trailing end of the log (20), is located at the slicing blade (2) and when a second location, a predetermined distance behind the trailing end of the log (20), and hence a predetermined distance behind the leading end of a following log (21), is located at the slicing blade (2). Reject means (6) are arranged to reject slices cut from each log by the slicing blade (2) after the first location and before the second location reaches it.
