The modular support matrix may define the arrangement of radiation source lumens within the brachytherapy applicator. The modular support matrix can be adjusted to position the radiation sources to obtain a certain dose and dose profile. A series of modular support matrices may be operably connected according to patient anatomy or dosing requirements. Systems and methods for using such modular brachytherapy applicators are also described.

    摘要: One example method for estimating scatter associated with a target object may include acquiring a set of original projection data that includes primary radiation and scattered radiation at one or more selected projection angles associated with the target object, generating a first set of estimated scatter data from the set of original projection data, generating reconstructed image data by performing a first pass reconstruction using the first set of estimated scatter data, and generating a set of reference scatter data associated with the target based on the reconstructed image data. The example method may also include generating a set of reference primary plus scatter data associated with the target object based on the reconstructed image data, generating a second set of estimated scatter data associated with the target object based on the set of reference primary plus scatter data, and generating perturbation data associated with the target object.

    摘要: An X-Ray matrix imager includes a matrix, a plurality of gate line sets, and a plurality of data lines. The matrix includes a plurality of rows of pixels configured to accumulate charges in response to light or radiation. Each of the gate line sets includes a first gate line coupled to a first pixel among a first row of pixels of the matrix, and a second gate line coupled to a second pixel among the first row of pixels of the matrix, wherein the first pixel is adjacent to the second pixel. Each of the data lines is arranged to be coupled to the plurality of gate line sets for receiving charges accumulated on the first row of pixels. The X-Ray matrix imager is configured to operate based on multiple-gate-line driving scheme and shared-data-line driving scheme.

    摘要: A method for medical image segmentation includes accessing and updating a knowledge-base. First, a medical image is received and a sparse landmark signature is computed based on the medical image. Next, either a representative or a cohort average reference image set is selected. A portion of either representative reference image set or the cohort average reference image set is deformed to generate mappings to the medical image set. A segmentation for each structure of interest of the medical image set is determined. The knowledge-base is searched for representative matches to form a plurality of sub-volume base sets comprising a plurality of reference image set sub-volumes. A portion of the plurality of reference image set sub-volumes of the plurality of sub-volume base sets is deformed to generate mappings from the plurality of sub-volume base sets to corresponding structures of interest of the medical image set. A weighted-average segmentation for the plurality of structures of interest in the medical image set is calculated.
