摘要: Systems and methods are disclosed for controlling image annotation. One method includes acquiring a digital representation of image data and generating a set of image annotations for the digital representation of the image data. The method also may include determining an association between members of the set of image annotations and generating one or more groups of members based on the association. A representative annotation from the one or more groups may also be determined, presented for selection, and the selection may be recorded in memory.

摘要: An embodiment of a system is proposed for imaging a body part including a tissue, the body part being perfused with a contrast agent. The system includes means for providing a sequence of original images offering a digital representation over time of the body-part, each original image including a plurality of original values each one indicative of a response to an interrogation signal of a corresponding location of the body-part possibly including the contrast agent with a contribution of the tissue substantially reduced. The system further includes means for generating an overlaid image for each one of a set of selected original images, for each one of a set of selected locations the overlaid image including an overlaid value consisting of a) a linearized value derived from the corresponding original value to be substantially proportional to a concentration of the contrast agent in the selected location when the linearized value reaches a predefined threshold, or otherwise b) a compressed value depending non-linearly on the corresponding response to the interrogation signal; and means for displaying the overlaid images in succession.

摘要: Various implementations of the invention provide techniques and supporting systems that facilitate real-time or near-real-time ultrasound tracking for the purpose of calculating changes in anatomical features during a medical procedure. More specifically, anatomical features within a patient undergoing a medical procedure are tracked by obtaining temporally-distinct three dimensional ultrasound images that include the feature of interest and obtaining a targeted subset of ultrasound images focused on the feature. Based on the targeted subset of ultrasound images, a displacement of the feature is determined and image parameters used to obtain the targeted subset of ultrasound images are adjusted based on the displacement. This results in a time-based sequence of three dimensional images and targeted ultrasound images of the feature that identify changes in the position, size, location, and/or shape of the feature.

摘要: Disclosed is a computer-implemented medical data processing method for determining a dose distribution for use in a medical procedure involving irradiation of an anatomical structure of a patient's body with ionising radiation. A processor acquires medical image data describing a medical image of the anatomical structure. The processor acquires dose distribution data describing an irradiation dose distribution spatially defined in the reference system of the medical image of the anatomical structure. Prioritization data is determined that describes, for each image unit of the medical image describing non-target tissue, a priority of that image unit for consideration during an optimization of the irradiation dose distribution described by the dose distribution data. Based on the dose distribution data and the prioritization data, changed dose distribution data is determined that describes a changed irradiation dose distribution spatially defined in the reference system of the medical image of the anatomical structure.

摘要: An embodiment of a segmentation solution for use in diagnostic imaging applications is proposed. A corresponding embodiment of a data-processing segmentation method comprises: providing a representation over a non-zero analysis time period of a body-part being perfused with a contrast agent, the representation comprising, for each location of a set of locations of the body-part, an indication of a response over the analysis time period of the location to an interrogation signal; calculating, for each selected location of a set of selected locations, the value of at least one statistical parameter of a statistical distribution of the response over the analysis time period of the selected location, the set of selected locations comprising all the locations or a part thereof; and segmenting the selected locations according to a comparison between the values of said at least one statistical parameter for the selected locations with at least one segmentation threshold.

摘要: A double focal spot X-ray tube is used to acquire a set of two images PIα, PIβ for a given gantry position from slightly different view positions. The stereo or binocular disparity (BD) of imaged structures is used to estimate the object depth in view direction, which in turn is used to discriminate between objects inside IO and outside EO the body. Respective structures are virtually removed from the images PIα, PIβ.
