摘要: A stent graft delivery device (1) has an elongated extension piece (20) extending from its proximal end of the introducer portion (3). The elongate extension piece is selectively separable from the introducer portion. A plurality of auxiliary guide wires (50) extend from through the stent graft delivery device and through the elongate extension piece. The auxiliary guide wires can cross over at the proximal end of the extension piece and return. The stent graft delivery device can be introduced into a patient via a femoral artery and the elongated extension piece can extend out an artery of the thoracic arch whereby to extend the auxiliary guide wires out of such an artery to give through and through guide wires. Catheterization of pararenal arteries is then possible via a brachial route.

摘要: A curve forming stent graft for curved vessels such as the thoracic arch. The stent graft has a tubular body zig zag self expanding stents fastened to and supporting the tubular body. The zig zag self expanding stents comprising struts and points between adjacent struts thereby defining proximal end points and distal end points. A temporary diameter constriction arrangement associated with the least some of the plurality of zig zag self expanding stents comprises a pair of adjacent distal end points being releasably retained adjacent each other whereby at rest the tubular body of the stent graft is in a substantially sawtooth form and when released in a curved configuration a distal end point of a stent overlaps a proximal end point of a distally adjacent stent to facilitate curvature of the stent graft in a curved vessel.

摘要: A micro-fluidic manipulation device is formed using a plastic material or glass. There is at least one well in the device. The well has a base and a side wall and is dimensioned to receive a cell. There is at least one base fluid port in the base of the well and side fluid ports (11a, 11b, 11d) in the side wall. Each of the base fluid port and the side fluid ports are of a cross sectional area to prevent a cell passing therethrough. Selected flow of fluid through the base port in use assists in supporting a cell in the well and selected flow of fluid through the base port and the side ports in use assists in rotating the cell in the well. The well can have a retention section and a loading section, the loading section being above and larger than the retention section. The loading section can have a loading channel extending to it or alternatively an access hatch. The side fluid ports open into a lower region of the loading section.

摘要: A stent graft device (10) for treatment of a Type A dissection comprises a first tubular portion (12) for placement into the ascending aorta, a second tubular portion (14) for extending around the thoracic arch and down the descending aorta and a bypass tube (24) allowing perfusion during an operation. To allow blood flow to the arteries of the thoracic arch, the second tubular portion (14) has an elongate recess (32) with a recess lumen (35) which is fluidically connected to the lumen (28) of the second tubular portion by one or more apertures (36). The second tubular portion (14) has self expanding stents (30) along it and the first tubular portion (12) is corrugated and unstented.

摘要: A stent graft for endovascular introduction into the pararenal region of the descending aorta. The stent graft has an elongate tubular body (10) with a proximal portion (12), a distal portion (16) of a diameter less than the proximal portion and a tapered central portion (14). A notional transverse clock face on the tubular body has 12 o'clock at a notional anterior longitudinal datum line. The stent graft has a scalloped cut out (26) centered at about 12:30 o'clock and a fenestration (28) at about 12:00 o'clock in the proximal portion and first and second fenestration assemblies which can be low profile side arms at about 2:15 o'clock and about 10:00 o'clock in the tapered central portion. The tapered central portion can have an arcuate side wall (30) so that the tapered portion has an outer face which is concave.

摘要: A multi-port stent graft delivery device (100) has an annular access lumen (107) between a delivery catheter (1 12) and a main sheath (106), at least one indwelling access sheath (118, 122) within the access lumen, and an indwelling guide wire (138, 146) within the or each access sheath and a stent graft (131 ) retained in the delivery device. Upon deployment of the stent graft into the vasculature of a patient the indwelling guide wire can be used to facilitate stabilization of the access sheath during catheterization of a side branch and deployment of a side arm covered or uncovered stent therein through the advanced access sheath. A two part handle enables withdrawal of a nose cone dilator before final placement of the side arm stents. A manifold (114) associated with a proximal Handle portion provides a plurality of access ports (116, 120).

摘要: A stent assembly (42) adapted for endoluminal placement by endovascular deployment for the treatment of a false lumen (10) associated with a vascular dissection. The stent assembly has a number of self expanding stents (35) connected together to define an elongate substantially cylindrical lumen wall engaging surface. The stents are adapted to provided pressure on the wall of the lumen adjacent to and extending away from a rupture. A deployment device (40) for the stent assembly includes a sheath (48) and a retention and release arrangement (50) to retain the proximal end (37) of the stent graft to the deployment device. Release of the stent assembly is by withdrawal of the sheath before release of its proximal end by the use of a trigger wire (54) of the retention and release arrangement.
