摘要: A stapler, comprises a housing (10), a handle (30), a base/track (20) sub-assembly and a striker (110). The base/track sub-assembly includes the base, a track pivotally attached to the base, and a cover plate including an anvil disposed in the base. The base includes a first base position pivoted to be adjacent to the track and a second base position pivoted away from the track. The track is pivotably attached to the base at a rear of the track. The second base position includes the anvil being adjacent and below a front of the track. The base/track sub-assembly is slidably attached to the housing including a first position under the housing and a second position extending rearward from the housing. The striker (110) is slidably fitted at a front of the housing. The striker is movable between a position above the track and a position in front of the track. The track is co-extensive within an elongated staple loading chamber (14) of the housing, the track of the base/track sub-assembly moving within the chamber substantially exclusively by sliding on the housing between the first position of the base/track sub-assembly and the second position of the base/track sub-assembly. The staple loading chamber is exposed in front of the base at a bottom of the stapler in the sub-assembly second position. The base/track sub-assembly second position includes the base being in the second base position.

摘要: A desktop stapler includes an automatic opening staple track whereby when the stapler is opened by pivoting the body about the base, the track is de-latched by ribs of the base, and the track slides out from a chamber within the body. 摘要: An anti-jamming design for a stapler track (80) provides reduced force to shear a staple (401) from a rack (400) of staples. In stapling, a front staple must be separated from a rack of staples to eject the staple out. Conventional staplers shear the glue that holds the staples together all at once, so the peak force to separate the staple is high. In the present invention the glue that holds staples together in a rack is sheared by a peeling action. Locally progressing sections of glue are peeled as the front staple is sheared from the adjacent second staple. According to one embodiment of the invention progressive shearing is provided by an asymmetric track front end, whereby the front staples are fully supported on one side only so that the staple rack twists as the striker (100) slowly presses down. The striker contacts the supported, higher, side of the staple first and the staple begins to shear from this higher side. When used in a low force spring actuated stapler, the present invention prevents the striker from resting atop the staple in an energized state if the stapling cycle is not properly completed.

摘要: A stepless ratchet one way clutch mechanism, which provides an improved ratchet tool, is disclosed. A drive head (30) is rotatably fitted into a cylindrical recess (18) in a wrench housing. The drive head (30) includes a partially triangular shape with three flat sides equally spaced around its circumference. A latch (20) is positioned between each flat side and the internal wall of the recess (18). A selector mechanism (40) provides a rotational bias to the three latches (20) about the rotational axis of the drive head (30). The drive head (30) may rotate in the wrench in the same direction that the selector (40) is turned. The drive head (30) is prevented from rotating in the opposite direction by wedging the latches (20) between the drive head (30) and the cylindrical internal wall of the recess (18). The selector (40) bias may be switched either way. When the bias is switched, the latches (20) rotate slightly about the drive head (30) and corners of the drive head (30) contact spaced apart segments of each latch (20). The selector bias originates within a recess (38) of the drive head (30) while a thin disk (51) links the bias to the latches (20). A flange (34) of the drive head (30) securely holds the drive head in position and prevents wobble of the drive head. A friction surface is at the latch and internal wall interface. The friction surface may include a "V" groove (11) and rib (26), a hard, textured surface, or very fine teeth and splines.

摘要: A self-forming socket having a plurality of retractable pins (16) bundled in parallel within a housing (20). The bundled pins may displace longitudinally and are biased by spring force away from a frame (20) on which the pins are slidably held. A spacer pin (30) may be positioned at the centre of the socket and is similarly biased away from the frame under spring force. When the socket is forced over a fastener, nut, or bolt head, groups of pins are pushed inwards towards the frame and into the housing thereby conforming the pins to the contours of the fastener. 摘要: A compact, electric, spring energized desktop stapler having a unitized housing providing both an external movable enclosure and a support frame for internal parts is disclosed. The internal power train is preferably elongated with the motor at the rear, a gear set toward the center, and low profile lever and power spring assembly at the front. The lever engages a striker with a normal upper rest position where the power spring is deflected and energized. A cam roller mounted to a final gear holds down the rear of the lever until the system is activated when the final gear rotates and the cam roller rolls off the end of the lever. In the unitized body, the base is pivotally attached to the body at the rear. A base lever selectively links to a cam roller or equivalent structure to move the body downward toward the base during a cycle.
