    摘要: A convoluted tube (10) for enclosing a wire harness can include a tubular body portion (12) extending in a longitudinal direction. The tubular body portion (12) can define a slit (14) that extends in the longitudinal direction and that separates first and second contact surfaces (16, 18) of the tubular body portion (12). The convoluted tube (10) can also include a conductive ink (22) coupled to at least one of the first and second contact surfaces (16, 18) . The conductive ink (22) can be configured to generate heat when an appropriate magnetic field is applied. The first contact surface can be configured to fuse with the second contact surface upon application of the appropriate magnetic field to the conductive ink (22) such that the wire harness enclosed within the interior of the tubular body portion (12) does not extend through the slit.

    摘要: The present teachings provide for an electrical connector 10 including a first housing 14, power terminals 158, and first 214 and second 210 shunts. The terminals and shunts are located within a cavity 126 defined by the first housing. The first housing is configured to mate with a second housing 18 to transfer power between a power storage device and components of an electric or hybrid electric vehicle. The first shunt 214 is configured to complete an interlock circuit. The second shunt 210 is configured to complete a service disconnect circuit. The interlock circuit prevents the transfer of power between the first and second housings when the circuit is broken and allows it when complete. The service disconnect circuit causes the power storage device to be substantially electrically isolated from the rest of the vehicle when the circuit is broken.

    摘要: The present teachings provide for a connector including a first body and an assurance body. The first body defines a first locking member, a cavity and a slot. The cavity accepts a terminal inserted therein to a first distance. The slot extends into the first body and intersects the cavity. The first locking member is configured to prevent withdrawal of the terminal when the terminal is inserted to the first distance. The assurance body is movable between a preset and a full set position within the slot, and includes a reinforcing member and a second locking member. The full set position, the reinforcing member limits movement of the first locking member to prevent the withdrawal of the terminal, and the second locking member extends into the cavity to prevent withdrawal of the terminal independent of the first locking member.

    摘要: A system and method for detecting the presence of a voltage on a ground conductor which is coupled to a Protective Earth (PE) terminal (16c) associated with a power source (15). The power source is used to apply a voltage to a device (14). The system may use a high impedance device (20) coupled across a switch (K3), with the switch being in communication with a portion of the device. A control system (24) may monitor a voltage across the high impedance device and determine if the voltage across the high impedance device exceeds a predetermined threshold. Exceeding the predetermined threshold indicates that an unsafe voltage from the power source is present on the ground conductor. A natural high impedance path (17,18) between the device and the Earth is used to provide an Earth connection through the device to the Earth during operation of the system.
