摘要： An electro-hydrostatic actuator unit that contains a sealed pressurized housing (12) filled with a dielectric fluid. A bi-directional motor (47) is immersed in the fluid and drives a gear pump (48) for exchanging fluid via a control circuit between the chambers (40,41) of a bi-directional hydraulic actuator (37) in response to an input from a controller (50). The chambers (40,41) are separated by a piston (38) and a piston rod (42) is connected to an external load such as a plunger type valve. A failsafe circuit is also provided which is arranged to override the control circuit in the event a failsafe condition is detected by the unit controller (50). The failsafe circuit contains a motor (52) driven pump (53) that provides high pressure fluid from the pressurized reservoir (12) to an accumulator (83). Valves (88,89) are arranged to shut down the control circuit and deliver fluid from the accumulator (83) to one of the cylinder (37) chambers to rapidly move the actuator to a desired failsafe position. Both motor drive pumps (53,58), the actuator (37), cylinder, and the controller (50) are fully immersed in the fluid reservoir (12).

摘要： An electromechanical actuator 10 comprises: a housing 12 having an opening passing therethrough that is centered about an axis 32; a brushless servo motor 22 having a rotor assembly 30 mounted inside said housing for rotation about said axis, said servo motor and a stator 24 encircling the rotor assembly, said servo motor containing a permanent magnet and said stator containing the windings of the servo motor; a tapered circular wedge 25 tightly wedged between the stator and the inner wall of the housing to stationarily support the stator within the housing; a ball screw shaft 65 aligned along the axis and having a tapered end 68 that is tightly secured within a complementary tapered hole in said rotor assembly so that said shaft extends outwardly beyond one end of the rotor assembly, a ball screw nut 66 mounted upon the extended end of said shaft so that said nut moves axially along the shaft as the shaft is rotated by said servo motor; a pushbar unit 75 slidably contained within an end wall of said housing, said pushbar unit being connected to said ball screw nut for movement along said axis; and control means 35 connected to said servo motor for activating the servo motor to advance or retract the push bar unit a desired linear distance.

摘要： Apparatus for safely installing and removing spring loaded failsafe valve actuators. The apparatus includes a frame (20) that retains a compression spring (45) in a loaded condition between a cover plate (50) fastened to the top wall (22) of the frame and a spring seat (35) slidably contained inside the frame. The spring seat is attached to the valve stem (17) for moving reciprocally therewith between a closed and an open position. The stem is connected to the extendable rod of a remotely controlled actuator (60) that is mounted in the cover plate and arranged to move the stem between the closed and open positions. In the event the actuator fails while the valve is in an open position, the compressed failsafe spring is released to rapidly close the valve.

摘要： An electro-hydrostatic actuator unit that contains a sealed pressurized housing filled with a dielectric fluid. A bi-directional motor is immersed in the fluid and drives a gear pump for exchanging fluid via a control circuit between the chambers of a bi-directional hydraulic actuator in response to an input from a controller. The chambers are separated by a piston and a piston rod is connected to an external load such as a plunger type valve. A failsafe circuit is also provided which is arranged to override the control circuit in the event a failsafe condition is detected by the unit controller. The failsafe circuit contains a motor driven pump that provides high pressure fluid from the pressurized reservoir to an accumulator. Valves are arranged to shut down the control circuit and deliver fluid from the accumulator to one of the cylinder chambers to rapidly move the actuator to a desired failsafe position. Both motor drive pumps, the actuator, cylinder, and the controller are fully immersed in the fluid reservoir.
