摘要: An automatic transmission 20 includes: a Simpson type complex planetary gear train 25 including single pinion type first and second planetary gears 21 and 22 and single pinion type third and fourth planetary gears 23 and 24; first through fourth clutches C1 to C4; and first and second brakes B1 and B2. A first carrier 21c of the first planetary gear 21 is coupled to an input shaft 20i. A first ring gear 21r of the first planetary gear 21 is selectively connected to an output shaft 20o by the first clutch C1.

摘要: When a fourth sun gear 24s is held stationary so as to be unrotatable, a Ravigneaux type planetary gear mechanism 25 transfers power, which has been transferred from an input shaft 20i to a third carrier 23c, to a third sun gear 23s and a third ring gear 23r with the speed of the power increased such that the rotational speed of the third sun gear 23s is higher than the rotational speed of the third ring gear 23r. A clutch C2, which corresponds to the third sun gear 23s which rotates at a higher speed than that of the third ring gear 23r, is disposed between the Ravigneaux type planetary gear mechanism 25 and a second planetary gear 22 disposed in proximity to the Ravigneaux type planetary gear mechanism 25 with respect to a first planetary gear 21.

摘要: When a third sun gear 23s and a fourth sun gear 24s are non-rotatably held stationary by a brake B2, a compound planetary gear train 25 of an automatic transmission 20 increases the speed of the power transmitted to a third carrier 23c, and transmits the resultant power to a third ring gear 23r and a fourth carrier 24c serving as a first output element and to a fourth ring gear 24r serving as a second output element. A clutch C3 for selectively connecting the fourth ring gear 24r of the compound planetary gear train 25 to first and second sun gears 21s and 22s of first and second planetary gears 21 and 22 and a clutch C4 for selectively connecting the third ring gear 23r and the fourth carrier 24c of the compound planetary gear train 25 to the first and the second sun gears 21s and 22s are disposed on a side closer in the axial direction to the compound planetary gear train 25 than the first and the second planetary gears 21 and 22.

摘要: A stop line detection apparatus recognizes a boundary line of a lane on which the host vehicle travels, and detect a stop line at an intersection in front of the host vehicle. The apparatus sets an intersection area corresponding to the intersection in the road on which the host vehicle travels on the basis of a captured image by a front camera of the host vehicle, detects a crosswalk in the intersection area, a stop line search area setting unit configured to set a stop line search area extending from the crosswalk toward a front side in the lane on which the host vehicle travels, and performs stop line detection in the stop line search area. A depth of the stop line search area in an extending direction of a traveling lane is smaller than twice a depth of the crosswalk.
