摘要: The present invention relates to a process for the chlorination of halogenated pyridines with molecular chlorine in the presence of water under UV light irradiation in the vapor phase. The present invention further relates to a multi-step process for producing 5-chloro-3,6-difluoro-pyridin-2-amine and to the novel intermediate compounds 2,3-dichloro-5,6-difluoropyridine and 2,5-dichloro-3,6-difluoro-pyridine, which can be obtained by the process of the present invention starting form 5-chloro-2,3-difluoropyridine and 3-chloro-2,5-difluoro-pyridine.

In the 3-nitrobenzenesulfonamide of formula I, R 1 and R 2 each independently of one another substituted or unsubstituted, linear or branched C 1 -C 8 -alkyl; substituted or unsubstituted C 3 -C 8 -cycloalkyl; or R 1 and R 2 together with the atom to which they are bonded form a 5-, 6-, 7- or 8-membered substituted or unsubstituted, saturated or unsaturated heterocyclic ring which contains 1 or 2 further heteroatoms selected from the group consisting of O and S. The isolation of the 3-nitrobenzenesulfonamide of the formula I from a reaction mixture is performed by acidifying the reaction mixture, separating and washing an organic phase from the acidified reaction mixture to obtain a washed organic phase, obtaining a concentrated organic phase by concentrating a washed organic phase, cooling the concentrated organic phase to obtain a suspension and isolating the 3-nitrobenzenesulfonamide of the formula (I) from the suspension.
