Abstract:
The present invention relates to copolymers which are obtainable from the free-radical copolymerization of at least (a) a monoethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid having from 3 to 6 carbon atoms or its anhydride with (b) a reaction mixture comprising a component of the general structural formula (I) where R1, R2, R3, R4 are each independently H or C1-C4-alkyl, n and m are each independently an integer from 1 to 100 and R5 is H or methyl, to a process for preparing the inventive polymer and to its use as a scale inhibitor.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to certain amphiphilic alcohol alkoxylates, agrochemical agents which contain these, and the use of alcohol alkoxylates as adjuvants for improving effectiveness in the agrochemical field and, in particular, in the field of plant protection. The alcohol alkoxylates are alkoxylated alcohols of the formula R-O-(CmH2mO)q-[(C2H4O)z-(CnH2nO)x-(C2H4O)y]co-Z, in which R represents C1-C7 alkyl; m represents 2 or 3; q represents 0, 1, 2, or 3; n represents a whole number from 3 to 16; x has a value of 1 to 100; y has a value of 0 to 100; z has a value of 0 to 100; and x+y+z has a value of 2 to 100, Z represents hydrogen or an end group, and at least one of y and z is greater than 0.
Abstract:
Superabsorbers are produced by polymerization, wherein the polymerization is carried out in the presence of at least one unsaturated polyetherol which is selected from the group formed by polyetherols with the following structural formulas (1), (2), (3), and (4), wherein n stands for 0 or 1; m for 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6; o for a natural number from 1 to 200; and A for the groups -(H2C-CHR1-O)- or - (R1HC-CH2-O)-, wherein R1 stands for hydrogen or an organic residue independently of each other.

Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for reacting epoxides with a starter-compound in the presence of a double metallocyanide-compound as a catalyst with reduced induction times. The activation of the double metallocyanide-compound occurs by adding the epoxides to a mixture made from double metallocyanide-compounds and starter compounds at an inner pressure of the reactor of less than 1 bar. The invention also relates to a polyether which can be obtained by means of said method.
Abstract:
The invention relates to polymers that can be obtained from 1-butene oxide and from an alcohol while using a double metal cyanide compound as a catalyst, whereby the polyether has a quantity of unsaturated constituents equal to 6 or more mol %. The invention also relates to a method for producing a polyether of this type, and to the use of the inventive polyether as a carrier oil or in a carrier oil formulation, particularly in additive packets for gasolines. The invention additionally relates to carrier oil formulations such as fuels containing an inventive polyether.
