The invention relates to a method for continuous production of a solution of rubbers in vinyl-aromatic monomers, which is characterized in that a 10 to 40 % by weight solution or suspension of a rubber is distilled in a hydrocarbon or a hydrocarbon mixture as solvent or suspending agent with a boiling point that is at least 10° C lower than that of the vinyl-aromatic monomers at normal pressure. Before or during distillation, vinyl-aromatic monomers are added to the distillation mixture and distillation is continuously carried out in such a way that a solution of the rubber used ranging from 3 to 10 % by weight is present in the vinyl-aromatic monomers as bottom product, wherein distillation is designed in such a way that the residence time of the rubber in the distillation column ranges from 10 to 30 minutes, the reflux ratio is set between 1 and 5, the temperature of the bottoms ranges from 20 to 80° C, the concentration of the hydrocarbon or the hydrocarbon mixture used in the vinyl-aromatic rubber solution in the distillation bottom product is ≤1 % by weight and the concentration of the vinyl-aromatic monomers in the distillate is ≤5 % by weight.
