摘要: In the method for applying identification features to a packing strip in order to authenticate the processed packing, the packing strip is fed in a packing line to an embossing station, where logos of all kinds and/or codes and/or a satin finish and/or fold lines are embossed at the cycle rate of the packing machine by means of embossing rollers by deforming the packing strip, identification features and possibly other features are produced additionally on the packing strip on-line, in the same process step, and synchronously to the cycle rate by material removal by means of a feature setup comprising a laser installation, the packing strip having a thickness of 50 µm to 300 µm. The thus treated packing strip is subsequently further processed. Due to the fact that the feature setup for producing the identification features is provided in addition to the embossing rollers but operates in the same process step, all known embossing rollers can be used, and due to the application of lasers for producing the features, e.g. a consecutive numbering can be produced, thereby ensuring a secure authentication method without the need of changing substantially the embossing station comprising a housing with at least two embossing rolls, or lowering the processing speed.

摘要: In the method for the authentication of identification marks applied on a packaging foil, the identification marks, present as a barcode, are embossed on-line by an embossing roller device on a packaging foil, are read by means of a suitable apparatus and are compared to a template for the creating of the barcode, wherein the structural elements of the bar code, created by means of the template, are transferred to a set of embossing rollers with male and female rollers associated with one another and are formed on the surface thereof. Preferably, a further code is overlaid on the barcode in a further coding step, and the result is transferred and formed as a template onto the surface of the set of embossing rollers, wherein the template is used for deciphering the read-in, embossed code.
The embossing device for the embossing of barcode onto a packaging foil (12) according to the method has a set of embossing rollers with male rollers (P5) and female rollers (M5) associated with one another, wherein the structural elements (STP, STM) of the barcode (7BCP, 7BCM) created by means of the template are arranged on the surface thereof.
Such a method and such a device permit the embossing of particularly secure, comprehensive and compact identification marks on cardstock-type cigarette packages (12) or on inner liners (13A, 13B).-

The method comprises confining the at least one cylindrical embossing roller and the cambered counter roller in a single roller stand of relatively small outer dimensions designed to withstand a pressure for the at least one cylindrical embossing roller and the cambered counter roller; using on a surface of a first one of the at least one cylindrical embossing rollers at least one raised embossing element adapted for microstructure embossing, whereby one of the at least one raised embossing elements comprises a platform distant at a height in a range between 5 µm and 30 µm above a surrounding surface of the first cylindrical embossing roller adjacent to it, and a pattern engraved on top of the platform (5), whereby the pattern comprises the optically diffracting microstructures with periodicity of gratings in the range smaller than 30 µm that produce from a diffuse or directed source of light in the visible wavelength range diffraction images with high contrast and high luminosity in a defined observation angle; and adjusting the pressure for the at least one cylindrical embossing roller on the thin foil in a range less than 80 bar relative to a platform area of approximately 100 mm 2 .

摘要: The embossing device for fine embossing of packaging material has a set of embossing rolls with female embossing and male embossing rolls, in each case the structural elements (ML1) of the female embossing roll (M1) and the structural elements (PL1) of the male embossing rolls (P1) being assigned to each other, and the structural elements of one of the rolls being produced independently of the structural elements of the other rolls. At least one structural element (ML1; PL1) of at least one roll (M1, P1) is provided on its bottom surface (B1) and/or surface (S1) and/or side surfaces and/or in its immediate surroundings with light- scattering elements (DM1, D1), the height (H) of which is 10 µm to 150 µm. As a result of the use of light-scattering elements with small dimensions, the contrast of the structural elements can be increased substantially, by which means the overall aesthetic image is improved considerably.
