The inventive method comprises the following steps: a plurality of functional elements (5, 9, 10, 12) are introduced into corresponding recesses of an injection mould, said injection mould being connected, by means of latticed or rod-shaped channels formed in the tool, to the recesses in the region of the ends (22) of the functional elements (5, 9, 10, 12) which are to be fixed; liquefied plastic is injected into the latticed or rod-shaped channels and onto or around the ends (22) of the functional elements (5, 9, 10, 12) to be fixed; the plastic material is cooled and a functional element carrier (1) consisting of a latticed or rod-shaped plastic frame (2) and the functional elements (5, 9, 10, 12) is removed. The inventive method can be easily carried out at low cost and without high additional costs, and enables a plurality of functional elements (5, 9, 10, 12) to be handled in a simple manner, in one individual working step in a second part of the invention. A toothbrush which is produced according to one such method is economical and has a simple structure according to a third and fourth part of the invention.
