摘要:
A liquid ejection head includes an ejection outlet for ejecting liquid; a bubble generating region for generating a bubble; a movable member disposed faced to the bubble generating region and movable between a first position and a second position which is farther form the bubble generating region than the first position; a liquid supply passage for supplying the liquid to the bubble generating region from upstream of the bubble generating region; an opening, in fluid communication with the supply passage, for discharging the liquid.

摘要:
A liquid ejecting head capable of ejecting liquids in different conditions comprises an ejection outlet for ejecting a liquid; a liquid flow path for supplying the liquid to said ejection outlet, said liquid flow path having bubble generation heat means used to eject the liquid and capable of selectively generating bubbles having different sizes; and a movable mechanism having at least one movable member arranged to face a bubble generation region formed in said liquid flow path by said bubble generation heat means. The movable member has a free end on a downstream side with respect to a direction of said ejection outlet and a supporting member on an upstream side. The movable member is displaced in a direction to separate from the bubble generation region in accordance with a bubble generated by said bubble generation heat means.

A liquid ejecting method for ejecting liquid by generation of a bubble includes preparing a head comprising an ejection outlet for ejecting the liquid, a bubble generation region for generating the bubble in the liquid, a movable member having a fulcrum and a free end portion; and displacing the free end of the movable member by pressure produced by the generation of the bubble in the bubble generating portion wherein the free end of the movable member is restrained from entering the bubble generation region beyond a first position which is taken by the free end of the movable member before generation of the bubble.

A Liquid ejecting method for ejecting liquid using a bubble, includes using a liquid ejecting head having an ejection outlet for ejecting the liquid, a bubble generating region where a bubble is generated in the liquid, a movable member which is disposed faced to the bubble generating region, and which is displaceable between a first position and a second position farther from the bubble generating region than the first position and which has a free end at a downstream side thereof; displacing the movable member from the first position to the second position by pressure based on generation of the bubble in the bubble generating region, wherein the bubble expands more to the downstream side than to the upstream side with respect to a direction toward the ejection outlet by the displacement of -the movable member, thus directing the bubble toward the ejection outlet to eject the liquid through the ejection outlet; and imparting an operation to the liquid ejecting head to normalize a state of the liquid in a liquid flow path for the liquid at least before liquid ejection start or at the time of non-ejection of the liquid.
