A method for manufacturing ink jet recording heads comprises the steps of forming a film of a first inorganic material in the form of ink flow path pattern using the soluble first inorganic material on the substrate having ink discharge pressure generating elements formed thereon, forming a film of a second inorganic material becoming ink flow walls on the film of the first inorganic material using the second inorganic material, forming ink discharge openings on the film of the second inorganic material above the ink discharge pressure generating elements, and eluting the film of the first inorganic material. With the method thus arranged, it becomes passible to set the ink discharge pressure generating elements and the ink discharge openings (ports) of each head in extremely high precision in a shorter distance with a good reproducibility to record images in higher quality without any deformation of the head due to the applied heat, while providing a good resistance to ink and erosion, as well as a higher dimensional precision and reliability that may be affected otherwise by swelling or the like.

The present invention provides an ink jet head substrate comprising a heat generating resistance member forming a heat generating portion, an electrode wiring electrically connected to the heat generating resistance member, and an anti-cavitation film provided on the heat generating resistance member and the electrode wiring via an insulation protection layer, and wherein the anti-cavitation film is formed from different materials with more than two layers.

A printing head, which is used for a printing apparatus for printing out the printing data externally inputted from a data processing apparatus to a recording medium, comprises printing execution means for printing out the externally inputted printing data to a recording medium; data detection means for detecting security data form the externally inputted printing data; and operation control means for controlling the printout operation of the printing execution means in a given condition when the data detection means detects security data. With the printing head thus structured, no printout is possible even when the image data is transmitted from the data processing apparatus to the printing apparatus if security data is detected from the transmitting data for printing.
