The present invention relates to a method for detecting and quantifying an analyte in a liquid of interest by using a solid substrate the surface of which includes at least one active area on which at least one probe capable of binding said analyte is immobilized, and a solution containing at least one secondary reagent capable of binding to the analyte, said method including a step of recycling said solution so as to place same in contact with the surface again, and in particular with the active area at least one additional time. The present invention likewise relates to a device capable of being implemented within the framework of such a method.
