摘要: The embodiments of the present application provide a case, a battery cell, a battery, and an electrical apparatus, which belong to the technical field of batteries. The case comprises a case body and a pressure relief structure, the case body is used for accommodating an electrode assembly, and the pressure relief structure comprises a plurality of first pressure relief grooves disposed at intervals on the case body along the circumferential direction of the case body. The case body is configured to rupture along the first pressure relief grooves when the pressure or temperature inside the case body reaches a threshold to release the pressure inside the case body. During a pressure relief process, even if one of the first pressure relief grooves is shielded, the case body can still rupture along other first pressure relief grooves, so as to ensure the normal pressure relief of the case body, reduce the risk of fire and explosion of the battery cell, and improve the safety of the battery cell.

A pressure relief area in the first pressure relief state is smaller than a pressure relief area in the second pressure relief state. The pressure can be released rapidly when the internal pressure or temperature of the battery cell (20) is relatively high, thereby improving the pressure relief capability and ensuring the internal pressure to be constant at all times. Without needing to reserve a gas storage space, the pressure relief mechanism (234) does not occupy an internal space of the battery cell (20), and does not affect the energy density of the battery cell (20).

The housing is provided with a stepped hole communicated with the interior of the housing, the stepped hole comprises a first hole section and a second hole section which are arranged in a first direction, and the first hole section is located on the side of the second hole section facing away from the inside of the housing. The pressure relief mechanism and the protective part are respectively arranged in the second hole section and the first hole section, and the protective part covers at least a portion of the pressure relief mechanism. A battery cell with such a structure reduces the phenomenon of the protective part protruding out from the outer surface of the housing, which, on the one hand, protects the protective part, reducing the risks of friction or breakage of the protective part during the utilization process, helping the protective part protect the pressure relief mechanism and thus improving the service life and utilizational stability of the battery cell, and, on the other hand, reduces the amount by which the protective part increases the volume of the battery cell, thus reducing the amount of space occupied by the battery cell.
