    providing a first elastomeric layer;
    laying up the plurality of treated cords (106) on the first elastomeric layer to form tensile reinforcement layer;
    laying up a second elastomeric layer on the tensile reinforcement layer; and,
    curing the combination of the first elastomeric layer, the tensile reinforcement layer and the second elastomeric layer in a profile fomring mold.
    Methods of manufacturing a belt are also disclosed.

    摘要: A synchronous drive belt includes (100) an outer tension section (102) and opposing continuous tooth section (104) defining an outer surface. The synchronous drive belt further includes a cross-linked elastomeric body (106), and a tensile reinforcement section (108) disposed between the outer tension section (102) and the cross-linked elastomeric body (106). A fabric reinforcement (110) is disposed inwardly adjacent the outer surface of the continuous tooth section (104), and the fabric reinforcement (110) is enveloped by the cross-linked elastomeric body (106). Further, the cross-linked elastomeric body (106) forms the outer surface of the continuous tooth section (104). In some aspects, the cross-linked elastomeric body (106) contains a urethane material, which may be formed from the reaction product of a polyisocyanate and a hydroxyl functional polyol during a belt molding process. The polyisocyanate and the hydroxyl functional polyol may envelop the fabric reinforcement (110) prior to reacting during the belt molding process, or even while reacting in the molding process.
