The invention relates to a method for producing and/or rectifying an electromagnetically controllable control device which can be used to control the flow of a fluid, in particular a hydraulic or pneumatic analog valve or an analogised control valve (10). According to the method, the properties of the valve are adjusted by inserting a spacer (1). The spacer (1) enables at least the displacement of a stop of the return element in the axial direction which corresponds to the movement of the armature. Advantageously, one electromagnetic property of the adjusting device is measured and the measured property itself or a variable derived therefrom, is used as an actual value for a control of an adjusting variable. The adjusting variable is directly used for producing or rectifying the adjusting device. The invention also relates to an adjusting device which is described above, which enables said inventive method to be carried out.
