摘要: An introducer sheath (30) having a short distal tip section (34, 40) that is highly radiopaque. The distal tip section may be of FEP with 20 % to 75 % by weight tungsten particulate filler, and may be initially a separate member (40) and bonded to the sheath shaft distal end (32).

摘要: A method of forming a coated medical device is described. A coating may be applied inline to a continuous tubing formed by extrusion, prior to cutting and secondary operations. Thus, inefficient and labor-intensive steps associated with preparing individual tubes for coating may be avoided. The method may include forcing a flowable material through an exit port of an extruder, depositing a coating onto at least a portion of the continuous length of extruded tubing after the tubing is forced through the exit port, cutting the coated tubing to a desired length after depositing the coating, and performing one or more secondary operations on the coated tube at a temperature in the range of from about 15°C to about 375°C.

摘要: A cast bioremodelable graft (22) including a cast tubular construct (33) of a bioremodelable substance (34). The bioremodelable substance is cast on or applied to a form and then vacuum pressed to dry or harden the substance. Expandable members (18) are disposed on, in, under or about the cast tubular construct to expand the graft when released from an endoluminal delivery system. A second layer (39) can be applied over the first layer (38) and the expandable stents to contain the stents there between without the need for any separate attachment. The graft is dehydrated and preferably vacuum pressed to harden the bioremodelable substance. The form is removed to form one or more lumens (23-25) in the graft, which is then loaded on an endoluminal delivery system.

摘要: A coupling wire guide (20) structured to be slidably coupled to a previously introduced wire guide (10). The coupling wire guide includes a main body (22) and a tip portion (32). The tip portion (32) includes an insert member (34) and a distal tip (36). The insert member is connected to the main body (22), and the distal tip (36) is connected to the insert member (34). The insert member defines an insert passageway (42) having a laterally opening proximal port (44). The distal tip defines a tip passageway (54) having a distal port (56), the tip passageway (54) being in communication with the insert passageway (42). The proximal port (44), insert passageway (42), tip passageway (54) and distal port (56) are sized to receive the previously introduced wire guide (10).

摘要: A repair device (10) for affixing a migrating stent graft (30) to the interior surface of a vessel wall (31). The repair device includes tubular graft (11) with a bare or uncovered stent (16) affixed to the proximal end (12). The bare stent includes a plurality of distally pointed barbs (17) for securing the repair device to a vessel wall. A second stent (15) is positioned in the passage (14) of the tubular graft to expand the graft against the interior surface of the migrating stent graft (30). Proximally pointing barbs (20) are affixed to the struts of the second stent and extend through the graft material for securing the repair device to the migrating stent graft. Biological glue (22) and other sealing material (23) can be applied to the tubular graft and/or stents for sealing the repair device against the vessel wall and/or the interior of the migrating stent graft.
