摘要:
A cryopreservation device (112) is described, which comprises a bath for receiving a vessel such as a vial (126) comprising a biological sample in liquid-phase nitrogen (30). The bath includes a first member (barrier 128) extending generally vertically and dividing the interior chamber of the bath into a first sub-chamber (132) for receiving a volume of freezing medium and a second or overflow sub-chamber (130) adapted to receive freezing medium from the first sub-chamber. A second member such as a cane (120) or rack extends generally horizontally into the first sub-chamber and includes at least one opening for receiving the vessel(s). The level to which the freezing medium may fill the first subchamber can thus be controlled by means of the first member. A cryogenic storage method using such a device, and a kit including such a device and a vessel are also described.
摘要:
A kit for performing long term storage of biological matter is provided. The kit includes an elongate rod, extending between opposed first and second ends, and at least one holding point disposed upon the rod between the first and second ends, the holding point comprising a recess defined within a wall. A cryovial with an internal volume is configured to receive a biological sample therein, the cryovial comprising at least one finger that extends radially outward from an outer circumference thereof, wherein the finger is configured to releasably mate with the at least one holding point upon the rod.
摘要:
The device (10) includes a cannula (20) with a lumen defined therethrough. The cannula additionally includes a plurality of apertures disposed through the distal end portion to provide communication from the lumen and a visually perceptible indicator that is configured to allow the cannula to be positioned at an appropriate rotational position within the patient. A plurality of injection needles (41,42,43) are disposed within the lumen and a first handle (60) is fixed with respect to the cannula and a second handle (70) is disposed in conjunction with the first handle and fixed to the proximal portion of each of the plurality of needles, the first handle is translatable with respect to the second handle to translate the plurality of needles from a first position (09) second position where the distal portion of each of the plurality of needles extends out of the lumen through their respective aperture.
