In the present air purifier (10), air sucked by a fan rotor (25) from a blowing compartment (31a) located in a low position passes through an air purification filter (22) disposed in an air purification compartment (31b) located in a high position, then passes through a humidification element (24) disposed in an humidification compartment (31c) located in a higher position, and is blown out from the air purifier (10). A blower device (28) as a sound source is located in the lowest position. Therefore, when the power of a fan motor (26) is high, sounds produced from the fan motor (26) and the fan rotor (25) are attenuated by the air purification filter (22) and the humidification element (24). In other words, noises can be inhibited.
