In addition, two pressures p1 and p2, acting on the flowing fluid, are recorded at two measuring points (M1, M2) located at a distance from one another in the direction of flow, at least one of which alters at least periodically with the repeat frequency. The recorded pressures p1, p2 are used to generate a pressure measured value (Xp), which represents an average dynamic pressure that acts at least partly in the direction of flow over an average time period. A mass flow measured value (Xm) for the fluid can then be determined using the pressure measured value (Xp) and the flow measured value (XV).
